In 2008 South African Morne Harmse wielded a replica of a katana-sword on a school ground, killing a pupil and wounding three more people. Threat assessment expert, Dr Gerard Labuschagne interviewed him in 2019 and found this attack could have been prevented. In 2022 Morne was released on parole.
